Clothier's Seminar 1999 |
|
IN SEARCH OF THE HOUPPELANDE
As many of you have already heard, there will be a large discussion group at the clothiers seminar. We will be discussing the cut and construction methods of the 14th &15th century houppelandes. There are so many different kinds that I have already made two for use in the discussion. Please bring patterns or sketches of the pattern shapes to give to the discussion participants. I have been looking primarily at the men's clothing from these eras and I am waiting anxiously to see what has been done with the women's version of these styles. So, get your needles flying and ideas rolling because this is going to be fun. Jose |
