Welcome to the online home of the Calontir Fiber and Needle Guild! We are a diverse group of artisans, interested in the research and recreation of various fiber and needle arts, of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Our members are located within the Kingdom of Calontir (Kansas, Missouri, most of Nebraska, most of Iowa and the NW corner of Arkansas), a division of the Society for Creative Anachronism.
Our members have widely varied interests; from weaving to tailoring, embroidery to basketry, as well as, many of the other aspects of the fiber and needle arts. We join together regularly at SCA events to share our enthusiasm and project ideas. Our guild also organizes classes and demonstrations for the annual Lilies War, and we gather together each winter, at a member’s home, to share in a retreat atmosphere.
Guild membership does not require skill, just interest! Even the most skilled artisans begin with a desire to learn prior to gaining any skills. Please explore our site and join us at our next meeting or come and visit our mailing list!

Greetings and Salutations,
There are many new things in store for the website, so keep your eyes open. This month we will be adding blogs and a coppermine gallery for various memebers to keep project diaries, photos and documentations here online, in hopes that it may be able to assist others in their research goals. I would love to see submissions for everything and anything on this site, as it is very easy and simple to do. Remember, by sharing your knowledge, we grow together!
With the new changes, everyone will have more freedom to contribute additional articles, announcements, etc. and can take part in creating our online home. Please be patient for the first few weeks until the site gets settled in, as I may still be tracking down a couple of wily pages!
